The story of a young Ahmet Yildiz, who was killed by his father because of a different sexual orientation, caused great controversy and sharp debates in Turkey. It’s all because of the moution picture “Zene”, directed by Caner Alper and based on a true story. The film is both praised and disputed, at the same time. It won five awards at the film festival in Antalya, although the authors were not sure they could show it in Turkey.
