Spring was very late this year but it still managed to come through the open doors of June. It tempts our dreams and fulfills our desires with its charm, colours and blazing sun. Everything blossoms, you can see the shades of thousands of colors. It is the best way to relax your eyes, just looking at the trees, mountains, the greenery and flowers. Now, picnics are the best way to enjoynature. It is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with family and friends.
When we look back into history, we notice that people who live in cities have always been trying to escape to nature, to peaceful and beautiful green areas. In almost all parts of the world this kind of fun day in the countryis called a picnic. The word comes from the French word “pique-nique” which means cold, simple, ordinary dishes ready to eat outdoors.
Based on these facts Balkon3 recommends a tasty recipe that is easy to make and costs very little.
Ingredients:
2 ½ cups of flour
1 packet yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1 egg
1 cup warm milk
70 g butter (melted)
pinch of salt
4-5 hot dogs
For the topping:
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon sunflower oil
sesame
1 red pepper
1 green pepper
chilly peppers
Preparation:
Put the flour in a large bowl. Add the yeast, salt and sugar and stir well. Then add the egg, milk and butter and mix them well. If it is necessaryadd a little flourto avoid the dough sticking to your hands. Then cover the dough and let it sit for one hour. After that the dough is divided into pieces. Open each piece of the dough with your hands, not using a rolling pin. Then put the hot dog inside and close it forming a bun. Take a knife and cut it into five pieces, but don’t cut it completely.
Roll the pieces in the form of a flower while the hot dogs stay onthe top. Then place them in the pan which has been coated with paper soaked in oil on the bottom. Cover the mixture and wait for 30 minutes . Add sunflower oil to the yolk of the egg, mix and coat the surface of the dough. Sprinkle with sesame, and peppers ( chopped earlier in the form of squares ) are placed in the middle of the flower.
Bake it in an oven at 180 degrees for about fifteen minutes.
Hot dog buns are ready to be served.
