If you have not yet gone on holiday and you are stuck in your home, do not despair. Turn your mornings into a wonderful fairytale of aromas and taste that will delight you and your loved ones. When I think of muffins the first image that comes to my mind is a morning somewhere in France and a traditional French bakery filled with many delicious breads, croissants, muffins, a place you leave with a full stomach and pleasant feelings.
WHERE DO MUFFINS ORIGINATE?
I did some research to find where this tasty cake comes from. I came across a lot of information that tell different stories about the history of muffins. However, my intuition told me that its native country is France. Of the many information that I came across this I think is the most accurate: the first muffins come from the 10th century and were made on French territory. In other countries, muffins are usually called English muffins. The word muffin is derived from the Old English word moofin, which was first used in 1703.
Whatever its origins, muffins make a tasty little pleasure, which is prepared quickly and easily. Balkon 3 recommends you try muffins with apples and cinnamon.
Ingredients:
– 1 egg
– ½ cup sugar
– ¾ cup milk
– 1/3 cup cooking oil
– 2 cups flour
– ½ teaspoon salt
– 1 baking powder
– 1 vanilla
– 2 apples
– 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Preparation:
Beat the eggs and sugar then slowly add milk, cooking oil, salt, baking powder, vanilla and flour. You can use an electric mixer at the end. Finally add the apples (finely chopped) and cinnamon and mix with a spoon. Pour the mixture into muffin pans. Bake in a preheated oven at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. When the muffins are baked decorate them with cinnamon and powdered sugar. We recommend having green tea with your cinnamon muffins for maximum pleasure.
Bon appetit!
