Husamettin Gina has more than ten years of experience in journalism but never as a professional journalist (receiving regular salary). He is “the eternal” freelancer, “a certified” fixed-term contract employee. He comes from the first generation of students at the One-Year School of Journalism at the Macedonian Institute for Media. He has gained work experience at Macedonian Radio Television in the Turkish Department, Birlik newspaper and Forum Plus weekly magazine. He was a field reporter for Turkish NTV for 6 months during the 2001 conflict. He loves sport and is a big fan of Besiktas FC from Istanbul. Awards: A UN Award for an article about poverty published in Vreme newspaper in 2006 “Jean Monnet” Award for Best Newspaper Article on EU in 2007 for “The EU and children” article published in INA information agency.
